Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Youth Programs!

At First United Methodist Church-San Marcos we have a great youth program with lots of opportunities to help you grow in your faith. We offer Sunday School, Bible Studies, Sunday Night Small Groups, and an awesome Wednesday Youth Group. We would love for you to join us!

Check out our Weekly Youth Programs!

  • Sunday Morning Breakfast~ From 9:40-10:00am the youth have breakfast every Sunday morning before Sunday School. This is time for us to just hang out with the students and EAT! This is when the majority of our students come, so we look at this time as an outreach time as well. (in the Activity Center)

  • Sunday School~ From 10:00-10:45am we have youth Sunday School. There are two classes: one for middle school students and one for high school students. This is time for us to learn more about God and his teachings. (in the Activity Center classrooms)

  • Sunday Night Small Groups~ On Sunday nights from 4:00-6:30pm we take the time to really get to know one another,  discuss issues with a small group of peers, develop accountability, and move even deeper into our teachings from Sunday mornings. Small groups are broken down by grade.

~ From 4:00-5:30pm the middle school students meet in the Activity Center. (6th-8th grade)

~ From 5:00-6:30pm the high school students meet in the Activity Center. (9th-12th grade)

  • Wednesday Night Youth Group~ Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00pm. This is a time for students to hang out after school, have dinner, discuss important issues, and hear about God. (in the Youth Lounge in the Activity Center)

Service and Mission Opportunities

Service and mission are big parts of our faith. God calls us to serve others. One way we can be the hands and feet of Christ is through our service and mission opportunities.

Helping Hands~ Once a month we find a need in our church or community and help out in anyway that we can. We do things from washing windows and painting, to making repairs and packing up meals. The possibilities are endless. We feel so blessed by God and want to give back to our community. This is a great way to honor and serve our Lord and get to know our members!

MSP (Mission Service Project) is our Senior High Mission Trip June 12-19, 2010. We will be going to Mission, Texas to help repair deserving families’ homes. Youth groups from all over Texas will work together as the hands and feet of Christ to serve families in the community. We will come together each night for awesome praise and worship as well!

MY Mission is our Junior High Mission Trip in June 18- 22, 2010. We will be going to Austin, TX to work in the inner city. We will be doing things like feeding the homeless, leading VBS, repairing homes, and cleaning up parks as we serve together. We will experience awesome praise and worship too!
