Directions to First United Methodist
Church, San Marcos
If you know a little about San Marcos
We are in the beautiful white building between the little HEB and
Frost Bank. We are about two blocks northwest of the courthouse.
From I-35 North (Austin, Buda, Kyle)
Exit I-35 at Exit 205. Follow the frontage road and cross the railroad
tracks. Turn right at the intersection. This will put you on Hopkins
Street (RR12). Stay on Hopkins into downtown San Marcos. After 1 and
two-tenths mile you will see the county courthouse on your left. Pass
the courthouse and the next street (Guadalupe Street). Just past the HEB
on your right, turn right at the light (Comanche Street). Turn right
again at the first opportunity (Hutchinson Street). The church is about
a block ahead on the right.
From I-35 South (San Antonio, New Braunfels)
Exit I-35 at Exit 202. Just past Lowe's on your right, turn left (under
the highway) on to Wonder World Drive. At the end of Wonder World Drive
(less than a mile) turn right on to Hunter Road. Hunter Road becomes
Hopkins Street as you near downtown San Marcos. After 1 and seven-tenths
mile you will see an HEB on your left. At the light just before the HEB,
turn left (Comanche Street). Turn right at the first opportunity
(Hutchinson Street). The church is about a block ahead on the right.
From RR 12 (Wimberley)
As you enter San Marcos you will cross Holland Street. You will begin to
see Southwest Texas University buildings on your left. About
eight-tenths mile past Holland you will turn left at the light on to
Hutchinson Street. Stay on Hutchinson for two-tenths mile and you will
see the church on your right.
